WP Glossary – How Do I Enable Comments

This is very much a feature controlled by your theme. However, if your theme can handle comments (or you know how to do it yourself, yay!), then here is how.

You need to add ‘commentspost type support. You can do this by pasting this into your functions.php file:

add_action( 'init', 'wpg_enable_comments' );
function wpg_enable_comments() {
  add_post_type_support( 'glossary', 'comments' );

You may need to add further support to this in your theme.

Why isn’t it an option?
I could make the above snippet into an option. However there is no way that I can control how your theme (or other plugins) handles comments. It might work and it might not. Which is just a big support headache that I can’t deal with. If you’re comfortable with, and understand, the snippet above, then you’re good to go 🙂 If it’s all too much for you, then I’m sorry I’ll have to say that the plugin doesn’t support comments.
